Description
History:
Hi! We are Nikki, Melanie, and Chris- the owners of Lazy Palm Suites! Nikki and Chris are a couple, and Nikki and Melanie are lifetime friends- elementary and high school friends, college roommates. As adults, Nikki, Melanie, and Chris travel together frequently. Chris “found” Placencia in a search for a good place to visit and retire. Nikki and Chris loved it so much that they made three trips there in one year, bringing family with them on one trip. It was the place for them, but purchasing was not really the plan. Desperate for a vacation in April, Mel said, “I don’t care where we go, but it has to be somewhere sunny,” and we decided on Belize. Chris declined as COVID was still all over, so Nikki and Mel headed to Belize. They booked a place at Imperius Rex on the beach. Sitting on the porch looking at the beach and the “For Sale” sign, Mel said, “Why aren’t we buying this place?”
Two days later, they were done negotiating with the owner. A month after that, Imperius Rex was there, and they began to make some cosmetic changes to create a more welcoming “beachy” vibe.
