Description
Ranguana Caye is a 2-acre Caye (island) located right on the edge of the Belize Barrier Reef, 18 miles off the coast of Placencia Village. Ranguana Caye has 3 private cabanas equipped with 1 king-size bed, 1 day bed, private bathroom, and private balcony. Our island is also home to the Edge of Paradise Bar and Grill, where our chef specializes in local dishes of Belize. To enjoy this unique, rustic island getaway, you will need to first take a boat ride of approximately 45 minutes to reach the Caye.
While on the island, you can enjoy full access to our kayaks, paddle boards, snorkelling gear, and fishing rods. The is amazing snorkelling right off the beach and around the fringing reef of the island that includes beautiful stands of endangered elkhorn coral where you are likely to see sharks, a variety of species of rays, dozens of species of fish, and even occasionally turtles.
Day Trip
Ranguana Caye offers a little something for everyone. We start you off with a quick break to change and try on your gear before we head out to the barrier reef, which is less than 5 minutes away from the caye. Dive into the sea where you are immediately greeted by the large pristine corals, home to the docile nurse sharks, eagle rays, and a host of different species of reef fish native to Belize.
After about an hour in the sea, we head back to the caye for a fresh, authentic Belizean lunch. After lunch, you have full access to our beach lounger, kayaks, and paddleboard. Snorkeling off the caye is also an option for those who can’t get enough of the sea. Snorkel around our fringing reef just off the shore of the caye.
We depart from the Municipal Pier at 9 am and return from Ranguana Caye at 3 pm. Lunch, transfer, and gears are included in our price of $145 USD per person.

We offer 3 cabana on our 2 acer private caye. Each cabana comes equipped with a king size bed, a day bed, private bath room and a private balcony over looking the Caribbean sea. There is wifi, restarutant/ bar, and plenty of lounge chairs to kick back and enjoy the sounds of the waves while sippling on a afternoon cocktail.
Take advantage of the kayaks, paddleboard, and snorkeling gear that comes free with your stay. Use them a lot or use them a little, the choice is your! Our crew is more than happy to help you navigate the sea and show you some of our amazing coral patches that surrounds the caye. A hammock nap is a must!, when relaxing on your balcony or on the beach.
